Summary: The Game is the spin-off of the long-running sitcom Girlfriends. By creators Mara Brock Akil and Kelsey Grammer come a comedy about three special woman in a relationship with three hard-working football players. Melanie (Tia Mowry) is trying to work her relationship with Derwin (Pooch Hall), her boyfriend, while Tasha Mack (Wendy Raquel Robinson) balances the relationship she has with her son and with her husband, Malik (Horsea Canchez). Tiffany (Brittany Daniels) and Jason (Coby Bell) are also working hard to make their relationship last. The Game focuses on each of the relationships present in these women's lives -- those with both friends and lovers -- as they learn the rules of the game. In the series finale, Pookie accidentally shoots Rick Fox, who bonds with Chardonnay when she drives him to the hospital. In other events, Malik leads the Sabers to a comeback win, which sends them to the playoffs; Kelly and Jason go to the mat with Herbie Lesser in an effort to save Jason's job; Malik proposes to Keira; Chardonnay wakes up in Las Vegas; and Tasha has a happy ending. Jason and Kelly are shocked when they learn that Herbie Lesser has bought the Sabers; and the Sabers are stricken with food poisoning. A plan falls short to bring Malik and Yana together. Meanwhile, Chardonnay decides to accept Roger Junior's date after receiving advice, and Jason and Kelly make a pitch to Roger Junior and a quirky investor. While working late with Blue, Jason recalls memorable moments from the past nine years. The walkout crisis comes to a head; Kelly and Jason hold a meeting to rally supporters; and Keira and Malik encounter their past while out on a date.
